Anthony Wilkins, CFA

Northern Trust Global Investments

Anthony is head of consultant relations and is responsible for managing the firm's institutional investment consulting relationships. He formerly served as Senior Vice President, Northern Trust Global Investments from 1997-2004. From 1992-1996 Anthony was Director of Marketing, Quantitative Equity Division of Weiss, Peck & Greer, a New York-based asset management firm. He sold public and private asset management services to corporate and public pension plans. He was responsible for developing the marketing strategy and materials for the firm's Quantitative Equity product. Over the course of three years, this product grew from $300 million to $1.2 billion.

From 1989-1992, Anthony served as New Business Director, for Stein Roe & Farnham's Capital Management Group. This division of a Chicago-based $24 billion asset management firm was started in 1989 to provide the firm's large capitalization domestic growth equity product to institutional investors. Responsibility in starting this division was to articulate the firm's strategy and introduce it to the institutional asset management marketplace. This division grew from $250 million in assets to $1.5 billion over the course of three years. Prior to that, from 1986-1989, Anthony was a portfolio manager at Stein Roe & Farnham where he was responsible for managing a $65MM portfolio of personal and small corporate accounts.

Anthony's engineering experience includes work as an electrical engineer and product planner with AT&T Teletype, a software manager with Loral Electronics Systems, and an electrical engineer for Chrylser Corp. He earned his BSEE from Northwestern University in 1979 and a MBA from the University of Chicago in 1986. He is a Charted Financial Analyst.
